Life After Fifty - Communicating

As a growing segment of society, persons over the age of 50 are the custodians of a great store of experience and knowledge. Today, the Internet and the World Wide Web offer a unique platform for seniors to share and communicate that experience and knowledge with society.

Why should seniors get involved in the online world? Whats in it for them? Many seniors discovered early on the benefits of email. But more are discovering the encyclopedic store of information the Internet holds. Without leaving the comforts of home (and many cannot) seniors can access information on virtually any topic, shopping becomes effortless, and the many discussion groups offer socializing with people with similar interests (e.g. crafts and hobbies, clubs, politics.....)

In this category (Communicating) we list a variety of popular communication resources on the web. From senior relevant Ezines (online magazines), journals, books, and other publications to senior discussion groups and blogs, we hope to inspire you to participate enthuiastically.
